impact us,

WE PROCLAIM GOD’S WORD
PRAYER OF THANKS Reverend John Molina-Moore
(For freedom of worship)
Accept our thanks, Lord God, for our freedom to worship.
We do not have a state church that dictates how we must worship,
or how we must believe, or if we must believe at all.
No spies are in our audience, ready to sanction what the preacher says.
No authority of the government tells us what name we must use for God.
We are not punished at work for the theology we profess.
At school our children are not taught a faith different from our own,
nor are they taught our own faith from a bias that we do not accept.
Thank you, Lord, for the separation of church and state that gives us freedom.

THE INVITATION TO THE TABLE Reverend John Molina-Moore
GREAT PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
Leader: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Leader: Lift up your hearts
People: We lift them up to the Lord
Leader: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
People: It is right to give thanks and praise.
Eternal and ever living God, it is right to bless you, to give thanks to you, and to
worship you in every place where your glory abides; for you laid the foundation of the
earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands. They shall perish, but you shall
endure, for you are always the same and your years will never end. You made us in
your image and called us to be your people. But we turned from you, and sin
established its reign by way of death. Still you loved us and sought us. In Christ your
grace defeated death and opened the way to eternal life. Therefore we praise you,
joining our voice with choirs of angels, and with all the faithful of every time and
place, who forever sing to the glory of your name.
