Mission Statement:Northwest ISD, in partnership with parents and community, will engage all students a premier education, preparing them to be successful, productive citizens.

WHY THE CBAS?

Demonstrates to a larger audience that the community is an important stakeholder in the schools.

Demonstrates our values in regard to educating the whole child. There is more to education than state mandated tests.

A wonderful opportunity to brag about what we are already doing.

“Community-Based Accountability” is:

A locally developed system of evidence of student learning.

A strategic and customized form of measuring student achievement.

Rigorous descriptive reporting to parents and community members.

A way to escape from standardized testing.

A tool to pass judgment on individual students.
