Northwestern coniferous forest is a biome with a lot of tall trees, and wild animals.

We can find it in the northwest of U.S.A which is “Canada”.

In the northwestern coniferous forest the temperature is 5 to 18 or 20 degrees, January and December are the coolest months, and July and August are the hottest.

The precipitation is about 200 to 280 (mm). Jan. Nov. Dec. are the wetter, in Jun. Jul. and August are the dryer.

The latitude of coniferous forest is between 40 to 60 degrees latitude.

Soil type: rocky, acidic soil.

Same plants that we can find in the northwestern coniferous forest are: Douglas fir, Sitka, spruce, western hemlock, redwood.

In the coniferous forest we have a lot of wild animals like, bears; large herbivores such as elk and deer. Beavers; predator such as owl, bobcats and member of the weasel family.

Bears hibernate during the winter.Moose migrate to these biomes periodically.Wild rabbits have thick fur for heat insulation

during the winter.
