Fallowhearth, Hngllk, Mgrik, and Murgash declare neutrality, booted from council4. Falcone (and the church) want to wipe out vampires5. Violent hunter challenges party, claims gorge is his turf, has deal with orcs2. An elderly man calling himself Reidoth is met outside the cave learned ofat thebarbarian camp3. Man seeks to kill massive fire drake in cave, explains plan, or fight head on4. Drake's cave contains map, treasure, and several corpses, one is woman's sone. Ambush1. Outside the cave, the party is beset by assassins2. Assassins don't care about the conflict, only getting paidIX. Narwaina. Arriving on the shores of Narwain, the party is arrested by Parliament Guard1. Outsiders not allowed on forested island2. Party taken before Parliament of Druidsb. Partyexplains quest1. Parliament reveals a human lives in the forest who might have answers2. Only allowed passage if they agree to hunt down and kill a savage elf who has takenrefuge near their destination3. Escorted to a riverboat that will takethem where they want to goc. Party meets hermit1. Hermit agrees to help if they will dispatch a group of nearby halfling poachers whohave sneaked onto the island, hunting for exotic game2. Must take out leader, not just hunters3. Hunters carry whistles, kill hunters, call for leader with whistled. Meet first group of hunters1. Summon leader2. Kill leadere. Return to Hermit1. Leads them to ancient wall surrounding temple2. Enter gatef. Meeting with savage1. Savage appears behind them, blade to one of their throats (unless spotted)2. Possibly fight. Reveals he was Theren, the Champion of the Wood3. Victim of assassination attempt by other servants of Parliament because he wanted tobring Narwain out of their isolationist ways, framed for a murder, fled to forest4. Describes ancient custom, whoever holds the Blade of Barall is the true Champion ofthe Wood, and cannot be challenged; He has the hilt, but blade was lost in the hide of anancient beast on thetemple grounds by the elf who was his predecessor's predecessor5. Asks the party to retrieve the sword for him, says he will dedicate his armies to thewar effort if they do this and help him regain his position6. Attacks if they refuseg. The beast is killed and the blade retrieved1. The savage returns to the Grove of Druids, asks party to meet when they canh. The Temple1. Spirit appears in the mirror on the wall, asks questions2. Ethical dilemma chambers3. Battle with wights ifwrong4. The map is reachedi. Back to the Grove1. Boat operator saw the savage with the blade, attacks party for their betrayal2. Back at the Grove of Druids, the party must side with either the Savage or hisbetrayer, the new Champion; theyfight one or the other3a. The Savage burns down the Grove of Druids, declares Narwain's isolation over3b. The Champion thanks the party for helping defeat the Savage4. Party is rewarded for their helpX. Fallowheartha. Council Embassy welcomesparty1. Fallowhearth exports valuable healing fungus to both vampires and council2. Council can't act openly against Fallowhearth if they want fungus3. Ambassador will help party if they rescue a captured soldier from vampire embassy4. Soldiercarried steel box with valuable intel5. Dark elf at the embassy claims children are being abducted by vampires, asks party torescue them from vampire embassyb. Finding a Way In1. Interrogate a captured vampire for the passphrase to enter the side entrance2. Kick in the door3. Guess the call/response passphrasec. Raid on the embassy1. Party raids embassy2. Finds children3. Children came willingly for eternal life, will be made vampires when they provethemselves4.Party findssoldier, dead;5. Locked steel box on table near cell contains intel6. Authorities are waiting for party as they leave the embassy7. Party arrested8. Soldier's evidence seizedd. Triale. Return to the Ambassador1. Party returns to the council embassy2. Ambassador reveals council and rogue elements of the Fallowhearth government havea secret fungus farm in a cavern deep underground3. Ambassador provides them horses and sends them alongf. Underground Farm1. Arriving at the farm, the party finds everyone dead, drained of blood2. Heavy ancient door found3. Behind door lies map and treasure4. Vampire general Drangleic attacks the party, says not everyone wants a cureg. Back to the Embassy1. The party returns to the council embassy to find it being packed up2. Ambassador says the council is being removed from Fallowhearth because of itsillegal harvestingXI. Prison of the Vampiresa. On the way to the next map, the party is ambushed by vampire forces1. Partytaken prisoner2. Taken to vampire prison (NOT the precursor temple), put in a cell3. Interrogated by Captain Beatan4. Beatan reveals that the southern half of Thrimichath has been taken by the vampirearmy, and that Casaubon himself is on the way to personally interrogate the partyb. Once in their cells, they meet the hooded man they met in Thrimichath early on1. He asks for their help to escape2. The party escapes with the manc. During the escape, the party runs into Beatan, who theybattled. Almost out the door, they encounter Casaubon, who challenges them1. As they are about to be killed, the hooded man tells them to run2. Hooded blasts vampire with a ray of sunlight, knocking him into nearby room3. Hooded chases him intoroom4. Party sees Casaubon stand up, laughing smugly, and raise a hand to the door, whichshuts telekinetically5. Party runsXII. Karash Huruka. The map appears to be located in a tomb somewhere in the valley of the precursors1. Tomb sealed2. The Elder's son reveals that the tomb is only accessible to those who have gained therespect of the orc elder of the village that surrounds it, and that within lies the final testto prove oneself worthy of joining the villageb. Gaining respect1. Defeating a village champion (there are 3) in single combat (1 Points)2. Learning the Emperor's Cant (1 Point)3. Retrieve an artifact from any of the 3 open tombs in the valley (3 Points Each)c. Gaining respect part 21. Once 9 points areearned, the Elder's son approaches the party2. He can put in a good word, making sure the Elder allows them into the final tomb3. He wants help killing his father to become village chieftain once the final test iscompleted. The Tomb1. The party traverses the tomb2. Finds the map and treasureXIII. The Lost Citya. The maps lead to an uncharted island1. City on island2. Overrun by zombie-like feral vampiresb. Traverse the city, kill vampires1. Party finds gold wall plaque depicting a paladin of Thrimichath fighting off a dragonand a drake hordec. Pair of Iron Golems guarding entrance to palace courtyard1. Golems killed or dealt with2. Party finds statue of Paladin Lawrence, his helmet off, and an inscription on thebasereading Lawrence, our savior, who we name Casaubon, for he brought light despitethe dark withind. Entering the Palace1. Dry fountain2. Orc Corpse3. Orc Corpse talks on approache. Speaking with Gough1. Cure was not cure, but replacement for sentient blood2. Gough founded city here for ancient vampires3. Fountain drew from a reservoir, but ran dry4. In their weakness, vampires were attacked by a dragon, but Lawrence saved them5. Gough is only one left6. Another such city built on a reservoir on what is now Tolvath7. Never heard of precursors, Gough is an orc8. Hid way to cities to keep liquid from being used nefariously9. The cure is pure liquid magic, which the dragons hoard10. Dragon Wars resulted inmuch of it being destroyed to weaken the dragonsf. One of the following enters the room, flanked by guards, depending on who is alive1. Drangleic2. Beatan3. Graineg. Fight with the pursuerXIV. Tolvatha. Casaubon attacked Tolvath to claimthe second cityb. Universal Spire built on top of ruins second city1. Now both are in ruins, allowing access to the cityc. Island now abandoned entirelyd. City beneath the volcano that the Spire was built into, sunk into lavaXV. The Second Citya. City overrun by drakesb. Ancient Dragon guarding entrance to palacec. Palace fountain still runs1. One of the last reservoirsXVI. Return to the Council and the Peace Summita. The council is excited that a substitute has been foundb. Some worry it may not last long enough to be worth itc. Peace Summit called1. Party told to rest2. Party given free reign for 24 hours, asked to return at that timed. The Results, 24 hours later:1. Council offers peace2. Council offers to ration the liquid, allotting an amount per population to each nation3. Council wants Casaubon4. Vampires refuse to let council control liquid5. Casaubon refuses to turn himself in and not see the fruits of his thousand years ofwork6. Council tried to arrest Casaubon, who fought back, only the Halfling councilorsurvivedXVII. The Siege of Darknessa. The sole councilor orders a siege on the Vampire's castle deep in the Wastes, at the OldPrecursor temple, where the party began their journeyb.The Plan:1. Halfling siege engines will assault the walls2. Elven archers will provide cover fire for footsoldiers3. Human footsoldiers and Halfling Steel Folk will assail the entrance4. Dwarven highlanders will climb the walls and assault thetemple from all sides5. All led by Halfling Councilor, Mounted in Steel Warrior, and Lord Knight Falcone6. Party is to get to Casaubon as quickly as possible, and engage, NOT kill7. If he were killed he would be a martyr, he needs to be taken prisoner, and justly tried8. If Theren was sided with in Narwain, his people join the battle as wellc. The assault beginsd. Final battle with Casaubon1. Casaubon reveals truth2. The church betrayed him, knew there was no cure, but sent him on agoose chase3. Meeting Gough's people showed him that the church was wrong; not all vampires evil4. Cure was only temporary, and while it existed council could use it for control5. Casaubon planned to destroy the cure and blame the council, ensuring loyalty fromvampires6. Casaubon was to lead the Vampires into a golden age of rule over the people of theworld7. Only wanted to save his peopleXVIII. Aftermatha1. Halfling Councilor wounded grievously in battle, now dying1.Councilor's suit was damaged, he fought on foot2. His arm was severed, he fell to the ground3. You did a damn fine job, friends. I... Casaubon handed life sentence, locked away beneath the council headquarters, in his ownformer seat of power
