Dear Leadership Council,

Thank you for your generous support of this year’s Spotlight program. We were thrilled to work with such a talented group of young people, from bright stars of the future, to students looking to challenge themselves and prepare for college and professional life. Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to award more than $130,000 in scholarships last year. I know we all look forward to watching these students go on to successful careers. Whether they work within the arts or not, we

know they will succeed!

Speaking of our bright stars, we welcome many Spotlight alumni back to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion stage at our dance season opener: Celebrate Forsythe, showcasing the choreography of William Forsythe and featuring performances from three companies – Houston Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and San Francisco Ballet. Each company includes Spotlight alumni!

Elle Macy (2007, 2008, 2009) with Pacific Northwest Ballet.

Katharine Precourt (2002), Tyler Donatelli (2012) and Alyssa Springer (2007, 2009) with Houston Ballet.

Jennifer Stahl (2003), Jordan Hammond (2007), Steven Morse (2008), Norika Matsuyama (2009, 2010, 2011), John-Paul Simoens (2011) with San Francisco Ballet.

We also look forward to welcoming back Matthew Rushing (1991), artistic director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and dancer Danica Paulos (2007, 2008, 2009) in March.

Warm regards,

JERI GAILE Director Spotlight
