This project will be decided by the Community Development Director and you have the opportunity to

provide comment prior to the Director’s decision. The ten-day comment period for this application begins

on October 30, 2019 and ends on November 11, 2019. Any comments regarding this application must be

submitted in writing (including email) to the Planning Division before 5:00 p.m. on November 11, 2019.

The Director will then consider all comments submitted within this time period prior to a decision. No

additional notice will be provided. Please contact the project planner in a timely manner to determine

what decision was reached.

3. THE WIDTH OF THE PERIMETER SUPPORTING ANGLE SHALL BE LESS THAN 2". IN EACH ORTHOGONAL HORIZONTAL DIRECTION, ONE END OF THE CEILING GRID SHALL BE ATTACHED TO THE CLOSURE ANGLE. THE OTHER END IN EACH HORIZONTAL SHALL HAVE A 0.75in. CLEARANCE FROM THEWALL AND SHALL REST UPON AND BE FREE TO SLIDE ON A CLOSURE ANGLE.

4. CEILING AREAS EXCEEDING 1,000 SF SHALL HAVE HORIZONTAL RESTRAINT OF THE CEILING TO STRUCTURAL SYSTEM.5. CEILING AREAS EXCEEDING 2,500 SF SHALL HAVE A SEISMIC SEPARATION OR A FULL-HEIGHT PARTITION THAT BREAKS THE CEILING UP INTO AREAS

NOT EXCEEDING 2,500 SF UNLESS STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS ARE PERFORMED OF THE CEILING BRACING SYSTEM FOR THE PRESCRIBED SEISMIC FORCES THAT DEMONSTRATE CEILING SYSTEM PENETRATIONS AND CLOSER ANGLES PROVIDE SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE TO ACCOMMODATE THE ANTICIPATED LATERAL DISPLACEMENT. EACH AREA SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH CLOSURE ANGLES IN ACCORDANCE WITH NOTE #3 AND HORIZONTALRESTRAINTS OR BRACING.

6. SPRINKLER HEADS AND OTHER PENETRATIONS SHALL HAVE A 2 INCH OVERSIZE RING, SLEEVE OR ADAPTER THROUGH THE CEILING TILE TO ALLOWFOR FREE MOVEMENT OF AT LEAST 1 INCH IN ALL HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONS. ALTERNATELY, A SWING JOINT THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE 1 INCH IN ALLHORIZONTAL DIRECTIONS IS PERMITTED TO BE PROVIDED AT THE TOP OF THE SPRINKLER HEAD EXTENSION.

7. PROVIDE POSITIVE CEILING BRACING AT ANY CHANGES IN CEILING ELEVATION.

8. CABLE TRAYS AND ELECTRICAL CONDUITS MUST BE SUPPORTED INDEPENDENTLY OF THE CEILING.
