and over 600 crew members joined the Posidonia Cup yacht race and theprestigious Award Ceremony that followed, where the winners werepresented with the trophies and enjoyed a fun and relaxed evening.

ORGANISING AUTHORITY & VENUEThe 2020 Posidonia Cup will take place in Faliron Bay, Piraeus, Greece, organised by the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club (HORC) in cooperationwith Posidonia Exhibitions S.A., on 29 May 2020.

RACE SCHEDULE & SOCIAL PROGRAMME

RULESThe event will be governed by: • Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2017 - 2020.• ORC Rating Systems 2020 (ORC International & ORC Club).• IMS Rule 2020.• WORLD SAILING Offshore Special Regulations 2020 - 2021. • The Event is classified in the Inshore Category.• From sunset to sunrise, the 1972 International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea Board as amended in November 1981 replace RRS, Part 2

Right of Way Rules.• The Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions and their amendments.• WORLD SAILING Advertising Code will apply.• All participating boats must display the Sponsor’s logos, which will be supplied with the race pack. These may consist of bow stickers and flags.• All Crew Members must wear life jackets during the race.

ENTRIESOnly members of the International Maritime Community, who are in Greece for Posidonia, and participants of the Posidonia Exhibition are eligibleto enter the event.The Organising Committee shall be the sole judge of the eligibility of the entrants.Entries shall be made on the Official Entry Form (also available at the HORC website www.posidoniacup.gr) and shall be received by the HORCSecretariat not later than 8 May 2020, accompanied by the non-refundable entry fee.

BOATS & CLASSESORC and Superyachts boats with a valid rating certificate and Classic & Traditional sailing yachts with CIM or HORC Certificate for Classic/ Traditional yachts are eligible to enter the event.The fleet will be split into following divisions:

Participants can enter the event using their own boat or a chartered boat.The Organising Committee will provide 9 boats on a first-come first-served basis. The boats available will be listed on the HORC website and registeredrace participants can choose the boat they prefer from the list on a first-come first-served basis. In order to assist competitors, each of the providedboats will be accompanied by one person appointed by the Organising Committee and familiar with the boat and local conditions. Upon request theOrganising Committee may provide more persons to assist in the crewing of the boat. Each boat provided by the Organising Committee is fully insured and has a deductible of €1,500 for each and every accident. In case of any damage,the amount up to €1,500 shall be covered by the participating company.

ENTRY FEE• The entry fee for entry with own/chartered boat is €600 per boat.• For boats made available by HORC the entry fee is €1,200 per boat.

ENTRY DISCLAIMERa) Neither HORC nor Posidonia Exhibitions S.A. nor the Posidonia Cup Sponsors and Supporters nor their representatives shall be liable forany loss, damage, death or personal injury howsoever caused to the owner/competitor, skipper or crew, as a result of their taking part in therace or races. Moreover, every owner/competitor warrants the suitability of his boat for the race or races. b) The safety of a boat and her entiremanagement including insurance (except for HORC provided boats) shall be the sole responsibility of the owner/competitor who must ensure thatthe boat is fully sound and seaworthy, and manned by a crew of sufficient number and experience who are physically fit to face adverse weather. Theowner/competitor must be satisfied as to the soundness of the hull, spars, rigging, sails and all gear and must ensure that all safety equipment isproperly maintained, stowed and up to date and that the crew knows where it is kept and how it is to be used. c) Neither of the clauses describedin (a) & (b) above, nor their application by the race organis ers, nor the inspection of the boat limit in any way the absolute responsibility of theowner/competitor. The crew is nonetheless advised to satisfy themselves as to the experience of the skipper and the adequacy of all safety equipmentand insurance arrangements.Attendance at the safety briefing on Friday 29 May at 10:00 is compulsory for the skipper of the boat. At that time each skipper will be asked to signa disclaimer and media release. Copies of this will be available at HORC.

TROPHIESUp to three overall winners in each Division will be awarded trophies. A diploma will be awarded to all crew members of the participating boats.

Performance This division includes ORC boats with DA ≤0.230 plus Sportboats & Racing.

Standard This division includes other ORC rated boats. Standard Division boats have the right to race in Performance Division.

Superyachts This division includes all Superyachts (boats ≥ 55 ft) rated under ORC.

Classic & Traditional Yachts This division includes all classic or traditional spirit boats.
