Invitation for Tenders for Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Inspection, Supply,Installation, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of HFO fired EngineGeneration Power Plant Projects on turnkey basis at Gopalganj (100MW), Hathazari (100 MW), Dohazari (100 MW), Bera (70 MW), Katakhali,Rajshahi (50 MW), Shantahar (50 MW), Baghabari (50 MW), Faridpur (50MW), Daudkandi (Titas) 50 MW and Duel Fuel (Gas or Diesel) GasTurbine at Ghorasal (200 MW).

4. Procurement Method Open Tendering method. The Tenderers shall submit the Technical andFinancial proposal in one envelope in accordance with the requirementsof the Tender documents.

10. Eligibility ofTenderers

Tenders will only be considered from internationally reputed firms orconsortium who are actually engaged and experienced in the lines ofwork described herein. The tenderer himself and/or lead partner of JVCAhaving minimum 51% stake shall have experience in complete design,manufacturing, supply, erection, installation, testing and commissioningof Power Stations/Plants as mentioned in Clause 5 of Instructions toTenderers.

11. Price of TenderDocument

Tk. 10,000.00 (Tk. Ten thousand) only payable in the form of Pay order /Demand draft in favour of the Director, Purchase, BPDB, Dhaka for eachset of tender document.

12. Amount of TenderSecurity

US$ 1,000,000 for 200 MW, US$ 300,000 for 100 MW, US$ 240,000 for70 MW and US$ 150,000 for 50 MW project, in the form of an irrevocableand unconditional bank guarantee issued by any scheduled Bank ofBangladesh or by a Foreign Bank duly endorsed by a scheduled Bank inBangladesh payable in favour of the Secretary, BPDB.

13. Validity of Tenderand Tender Security

180 (One hundred eighty) days and 208 (Two hundred and eight) daysrespectively from the date of opening of tender.

22. Brief Description ofWorks & Services

Complete engineering, design, manufacturing, inspection, testing, supply,delivery to the site, site preparation, shifting of existing establishments orinfrastructure (if required), related civil and building works, installation,erection, testing & commissioning of HFO fired Engine Generating SetsPower Plant Project [capacity of each identical unit is not less than 5 MW]and dual-fuel gas turbine Power Plant Project [2to 4 identical units],having net output as mentioned in each tender document at Siteconditions of 35C, 1.013 bar, 98% R.H., including necessary auxiliariesand ancillaries on Turnkey basis as stated in the scope of work of theTender document. The Tenderer shall also provide 2 (two) yearswarranty period for the entire work as well as Long Term Service under aLong Term Service Agreement (LTSA) for the next 4 years.
