Simon Peter Wankya’s contacts in Uganda, and a network that spread the word about NDTS in Malawi. Our associate groups in St. Henry and Osgood, Ohio, have been extremely productive in sewing vestments and making rosaries. Their prolific and creative assistance was instrumental in helping us increase the quantity of items we sent to missionaries. We fulfilled 130 requests as we shipped a record number of 500 vestments, 6,015 Rosaries, 88 Mass Kits with candles, 15 ciborium, 15 Mary Statues, 13 Monstrances, and 5 boxes of black cassocks and server robes (to Fr. Simon Peter’s parish, St. Patrick’s, Soroti, Uganda). We fulfilled the request of priests in Haiti, India, and Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda in Africa. As of October 1, 2019, we had 22 missionaries on our list requesting 116 vestments and the list continues to grow. Many people in neighboring parishes responded to bulletin appeals for religious articles that provided us with a wonderfully large inventory of miscellaneous religious books, booklets, prayer cards, medals, rosaries, crucifixes, altar cloths, and extra stoles that are include in each box that is packed. Quite often we receive requests for only religious articles to provide priests with spiritual items for their congregations, to promote devotion to the Eucharist, Mary, and the saints. Fall 2019

Greetings to the members and friends of the Notre Dame Tabernacle Society

Our Society received abundant blessings from God in the past year from October, 2018 through September, 2019. We increased our outreach to include many more priests in Africa, especially Uganda and Malawi, thanks in great part to Fr.

We are always ready to welcome new sewers to join our ministry. Contact us at [email protected] to plan a visit. • St. Julie Billiart Parish designated a “Make a Change” collection for NDTS.
