Dr. Allan D. Forsman Associate Professor Health Sciences 249F John P. Lamb Hall East Tennessee State University Johnson City, TN 37614
Dear Doctor Forsman:
I am writing this letter to thank you for kindly granting me permission to use your Anatomy and Physiology
VidCasts for non-profit instructional use on my website, LawrenceGAltman.com. The reviews have been
overwhelmingly favorable. Already, students and faculty from the Connecticut State University system are
also expressing delight at being able to conveniently access your work. You must have spent an enormous
amount of time putting this collection together! I have attached lead-in footage to each video that
acknowledges your personal generosity and the name of your institution.
My students genuinely admire your style of delivery. One of my sections judged your work to be “the
resource of choice” over all the bells and whistles commonly found on the Internet. Others mentioned that
they could not imagine studying the skeletal system without your guiding voice. These are sincere
assessments by individuals who regularly view your lessons with skeletal parts in-hand. The fact that they
can review their assignments at home on our website simply reinforces their progress. You have managed to
add a new dimension to studying what ordinarily turns out to be a tedious task. Sometimes, a simple video
hosted by a very talented professor, trumps all other modes of delivery. You have succeeded in doing
exactly that. Would you be so kind as to send me the names of your Chair, Dean etc. so that I can also let
them know of our admiration. Please do not be modest, here. We are very, very grateful!!
Sincerely,
Lawrence G. Altman, Ph.D.
