Baker’s Favorite Club will be hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner to be served to SCC students and their families who are in need, on Thursday, November 19th at 2-6 p.m. in Bldg. 1400 - Back half of the Cafeteria.
Donations are needed. Suggested items: Turkeys (if frozen, must receive 3-4 days prior), ham, potatoes, yams, veggies, stuffing mix, gravy mix, cutlery, heavy duty paper plates, napkins, paper/plastic cups, and . . . . . . . VOLUNTEERS!! Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated.
Please join us for this Thanksgiving Meal!

Campus Cat Club

Everyone is welcome to join Come learn how this club has accomplished getting all of
the feral cats on campus neutered.
Learn how they completed the project of getting raccoon-
proof feeders built and installed.
Some members volunteer at the Solano Feral Cat Group
low cost spay/neuter clinic monthly.
You will find this club to be a rewarding experience!

On Oct. 14th The Campus Cat Club celebrated National
Feral Cat Day with a Sale/Bake Sale/BBQ Fundraiser
and the highlight of the day was a beautiful all wood pet
house, donated by Animal Care Services. A drawing was
held at 3pm…..and the winner was….. Janie Sinkewiz,
from Graphics! Congratulations, Jane!

Blood Sugar Monitoring
Tuberculin (TB) Skin Testing is offered by appoint-
ment, Mondays & Tuesdays 10:00 a.m. to noon, Monday
& Tuesday, 4:00-5:00 p.m. You must return in 48-72
hours post test to have the Tuberculin skin test read and
receive your record of testing.
Health Screening exams are available at the Student
Health Center for Children’s Program students. Drop-in
or make an appointment for your Health Screening.
Screenings/testing: Health , diabetic, vision, hearing
and urine screenings.
Medications: Free over-the-counter medications for
common conditions are available free to students at the
Student Health Center. Medications include: generic
choices of decongestants, pain medications, cough
suppressants, decongestants, lubricating eye drops, burn
gel, & more.
FREE Condoms: Includes X-large, latex-free &
female condoms
Lactation Station – Privacy for
breastfeeding students to breastfeed their
babies or pump milk. Stop by and we’ll
find a comfortable place for you.

Do you know……………… Solano College has a partnership with Sonoma State? Would you like to earn a B.A. in Liberal Studies?
Sonoma State University offers an upper-division program in Vallejo, California leading to a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. The Liberal Studies Solano program offers a wide variety of courses from the social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences while providing a flexible major through which students may also take courses in other areas of interest. Like more traditional liberal arts majors, the Liberal Studies Solano major is excellent preparation for students interested in a career in teaching or counseling, the legal profession, or business as well as graduate work in the social sciences and the humanities.

Do You Need a Typing Certificate for a Job or Class? Want to know how fast you type?
There is no cost for the test. Bring some form of photo ID. You do not need to be enrolled at Solano College to take the typing test. If you pass the typing test, you will receive a certificate immediately.

Academic Success Center
The Academic Success Center is currently located in room 101, next to the library. The ASC is a great place to learn and study. Our
Hours of Operation are:
M & W – 8:30 am – 5 pm
T & TH – 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
F – Closed
The ASC provides:
Drop-in tutoring
Computers
Group study areas
Whiteboards for student use
Free printing (up to 5 pages per day)
Instructors from a variety of disciplines holding office hours
SCC Student ID Cards - Only $5!!!
Step 1: First Purchase ID either online or at the Admissions and Records office in the 400 bldg.
Step 2: Bring proof of payment and copy of your current schedule along with a valid photo ID (CDL, HS ID, etc.) to the Student Life Office in room 1425
Final Step: Have SCC Photo ID Card created on the spot!
Transfer Center Workshops/Events:

No preregistration required. Students should bring their essay drafts for feedback!!! First come, first served. Lab style format.)
Tutoring at the Vacaville and Vallejo Center
Drop in tutoring is available for Math and
English only at both the Vacaville and Val-
lejo Centers. This semester the Vacaville Center hours are
Monday 12:00-4:00p.m., Wednesday 12:00-2:00p.m., and
Friday 1:00-3:00p.m. and the peer tutor is Beth. The Val-
lejo Center hours are Mon/Wed/Fri 1:30p.m. -3:30p.m.
and the peer tutor is Eric. Tutoring is conducted in the
Learning Lab study rooms at both centers.
