A poor widow also came and put in two small coins worth a few cents.
Calling his disciples to himself, he said to them, "Amen, I say to you,
this poor widow put in more than all the other contributors
to the treasury." - Mk 12:42-43

UCA Intention Weekend Now more than ever, the community needs to see
our strength and goodness. Through the grace of
the Spirit and the generosity of His people, we can
feed the hungry and clothe the naked. We can
support our seminarians and retired clergy. We can
provide a Catholic education to children in need,
and sustain programs for the youth and young
adults we serve. We can offer new hope and
healing, all for the sake of others. Together, we are
a mighty force, showing others the power of Christ’s
love. Please prayerfully consider your pledge to the
United Catholic Appeal. www.archindy.org/UCA
Second Collection - November 17 & 18 Next weekend, November 17th & 18th, we will take up a second collection for the
Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). The CCHD works to help
establish housing, financial stability, and bring lasting change to those on the
margins of society who experience the realities of living in poverty. When you
support the CCHD collection, 75 percent goes to national projects that address the
root causes of poverty and 25 percent stays in our diocese to empower our local
brothers and sisters who live on the margins. Thank you for your generosity.

On behalf of the parish, Father Stan would like to thank those responsible for all of the hard work that made our
150th Anniversary celebration so special.
Carolyn Dieckmann created the panels surrounding our campus to highlight the history of our parish. Many
parishioners donated to this project. Thank you Carolyn and all the donors for the enlightening walk through history
that will be enjoyed by many for years to come.
Angie and Sebastian Moster are responsible for the Annual Celebration of Love Dinner and Dance. Thank you, Angie

The Forbeck Family created a very large 150th Birthday Cake for St. Louis for the Firemen’s Parade this summer.
Thank you to the Forbeck Family and to all that came out to represent St. Louis in the parade.

weekend celebrations. She was joined by Sherri Simmermeyer, Christy Moenter and Rosie Eckstein. Thank you all!

showing parish spirit by continuing to wear their 150th shirts.

the past year.
For more than 25 years, Families Helping Families (FHF) has brought together a community of local churches and organizations at Christmas time, united in one simple mission, to help our friends and neighbors most in need.
Each Christmas, as many of us seek to find the meaning in this wonderful and most precious season, we are called by Jesus, to continue the work of his life, to be the loving presence of God to those in their darkest hours.
Please consider how you can help this Christmas Season.
Pray: Please pray for those who are struggling to provide for their children and families,
especially at Christmas.
Gift Request Tags: The tags on the trees and in the baskets represent the wishes of one
child. Please purchase all items on the tag, as each tag has been thoughtfully planned,
so that each family and child is helped in the way they need most. There is a maximum
value of $60.00 per child.
There are many opportunities to help with toys and tangible gifts, but please consider
helping with a Gift Card request this year. It is always quite humbling to see the many
requests we receive for essential items like coats, boots or winter clothes. Certainly,
each child’s mother is best suited to select what her child needs most, while assuring
right fit and appropriate styles. Gift card requests are only for children 13 and older.
Please return all gifts to church by the due date of December 2nd. Gifts should be
unwrapped with the gift tags attached. Please assure that each gift is tagged or
bundled in it’s own bag. Tags are essential to assuring that gifts reach the child who
needs it.
Monetary Donations: Each Christmas, because of your generosity, FHF has been able to
provide a Christmas Meal to each family. Your generous monetary donations have also
been utilized to help families throughout the year where needed.
Donations may be placed in the special envelopes available in the baskets at the doors.
You may return the envelopes in the collection basket with a designation for Families
Helping Families or you may take your donations to the parish office at anytime.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration.
If you have any questions or know of some family in need,
please contact Maureen Saner at 812-212-9797 or Maureen
Harpring at 812-852-4877.
