What is SIP?
The Society of Internet Professional (SIP):- a not-for-profit International organization of professionals and organizations involved in the Internet.
SIP's mandate:- to standardize Internet training certification and accreditation.

SIP is run and co-ordinated by the following elected and nominated bodies:

Membership Coordinator
Individual membership promotions Corporate membership promotions Coordinating with local vendors to
provide free /discounted benefits for SIP members
Affiliations /partnership with local associations / vendors.
Provide input to Membership Directory
Provide membership forms and payment to the SIP HQ

Event Coordinator
Pre-Event tasksProcuring and booking of: speakers, location / venue
and catering. Mailing, making flyer for the event and feedback form.
Event tasks (on the day of event)
Greeting attendees and directing them to registration, registering and collecting event fee, handing out Application form and other handouts, photography, broadcasting the event, looking after refreshments, Emcee, thanks, raffle, distributing and collecting feedback forms.

Post-event tasksData entry of email of attendees, thanks you and
inviting attendees to become members, accounting, adding the event with photoes on the “Past Event” Web page of SIP.

Tradeshows Coordinator
Identify shows Apply for booth and sponsorship Identify career shows Coordinate volunteers to staff the
booth at shows

Systems Coordinator
Maintaining chapter’s mailing lists (one way, monitored and posting allowed by all).
Maintaining web pages for Chapter’s web site (part of SIP Web site)

Chapter Director
Get a Corporate member to sponsor the Chapter
Select members of the Chapter Committee
Conduct monthly committee committee meeting
Hold a monthly symposiums for members and non-members
Liaise with SIP HQ
Remit payments to SIP HQ
Establish Objectives and Targets

Chapter Director: Commitment
Can you commit to this role and believe in the mandate of the SIP?
Can you get your company or some other company to become a corporate member of SIP ?
In addition to a Chapter Director we need a Chapter Sponsoring company.
There are a lot of marketing opportunities for the company and profile building exposure for a Chapter Director.
