Midori Kobayashi (right and from summer newsletter) met Asako, Koji’s mom, when they were both hospitalized in June.

Midori and her daughter, Sachi (left), have been in Osaka a year but have no family here. They adopted us as their family, or we adopted them. They are just a couple of subway stops away and we have met for meals.

You know God is working when he brings people to himself, and we don’t even have a church yet. We have a Bible study with her and we took her to a good bi-lingual church.

Praise for this and how it encourages us. Pray for Midori in the next month of preparation. Her arthritis is very severe, and limits her life.

Koji will be part of a team to translate the Redeemer City to City church planting materials. This will be a long project but ultimately valuable for the present Japanese church leaders and future planters, and the Nagoya seminary. Koji is also half-way through the Coach Training.

Kuni Onishi, born near Osaka but pastoring in California, is planning on returning as a church planter to Osaka, where he met us at this café.

Pray: For God to raise up young Japanese pastoral candidates, like Onishi, along with Frank Harrell, our pastoral Genesis team member coming in 2016.
