Congratulations to Olivia Henderson on qualifying for the Texas Championship Division! Olivia made it two ZAT finals in a row and lost a tough three setter with an injured leg in the finals of the San Angelo ZAT. However, she earned enough point to move up to Champs with her most recent tournament result. Olivia is the daughter of Todd & Andie Henderson. She is a sixth grader at Lee Middle School and she has a very bright future in competitive tennis!

We would also like to congratulate Dillan Arrott for making the finals of the 16 and Under Division of the ZAT! Luke Sawyer made it to the quarterfinals of the boys 16 and Under Division. Sid Wallace won the boys 16 and Under Consolation Bracket. Kinzie King won 3rd place in the girls 10 and Under Division. Bobby Hirschfeld reached the round of 16 in the boys 14 and Under Division Main Draw. All of these kids have been working hard and we are so proud of them!!!

TENNIS NEWS Leagues

We have consolidated our Tuesday and Wednesday evening ladies leagues

into one league on Wednesday evenings. There is a mixture of 3.0 and

3.5 level players and we are playing in a progressive style. If you would

like to sign up for the next round or be a substitute, please call the tennis

shop at 325-651-7220!

Men’s Night

We are having an open men’s night on Thursdays for competitive players. Monte

Jenkins has been a big help in getting this started. Men’s night is not a league, we are

simply trying to get more of our men out on the courts. It is an informal match night.

You do not have to make a six week commitment to participate. There are no fees. If

you are interested in getting involved, please call the tennis shop.

Upcoming Events:

November 27th

There will be a Turkey Shoot Golf Scramble at noon, and a Build Your Own Burger & Beer

lunch at 3:00 pm. The tennis department would like to encourage people with families in

town to come play some tennis. You don’t have to be in the golf scramble to go to the

Burgers & Beer lunch.

Call the tennis shop at 325-651-7220 if you are interested in playing!
