NOVEMBER 2016
Guru Nanak Jayanti - Guru Nanak Jayanti or Gurpurab
is one of the most revered day observed by the Sikh
community to glorify the tenets of Sikhism. Guru Nanak
Jayanti commemorates the birth of Guru Nanak, the
first Sikh Guru. Both in the literal sense and in essence,
Gurpurab means ‘festival of the gurus’. The historic day
is celebrated across the world by devout Sikhs with
great fervor and collective spirit and effort, asserting the
message of morality, hard work and truth inherent in the
preachings of Guru Nanak. Owing to the fact that Guru
Nanak enlightened the world with his profound
teachings, the day is also known as ‘Prakash Utsav’.
Children's Day is yet another important day which reaffirms the fact that education of
children can vastly contribute to a nation's development. Children's day which is
celebrated on November 14 every year, coincides with the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal
Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India after Independence. Pandit Nehru, who was
endearingly called 'Chacha Nehru' had envisioned the vital role of children in the coun-
try's overall progress.

(QUOTE BY GANDHI) A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him. He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do it.

ROLE / NEED OF FINANCIER: This Sector is starved of Credit . Banking sector Lending is a small fraction compared to Total requirement. Deprived of Funds, they borrow from family / friends / money lenders and also
from their savings . NBFCs focus on this & are playing an Important Role, Resulting in Financial In-
clusion. NBFC study the Cash Flow, developing Close Relationship, Flexible & more In-
novative than Banks. Creating an Engine for serving this sector through Innovative Products Must Consider this Sector as "Priority Sector "
