ART CONTEST Elluminate Sessions

Open call for HTA Calendar photo entries: A fundraiser projectto promote the joy of reading.

Take a photo of your child posing with their favorite book, author or genre (specify whensubmitting). Vertical (portrait) layout preferred but may submit horizontal (landscape) too.

Goal is to get one student from each grade level for each month and cover. If there are a lot ofsubmissions there may be a desktop weekly planner type design too.

Include First names only (optional) and grade of student. 5MP minimum resolution suggested.If you don't have a camera the photo may be taken at school too as an option.

Send your submission to [email protected] or a link if you use aphoto service. This project has been approved by HTA.

Cost has not been determined yet.

ART/FUNDRAISER PROJECT

In conjunction with Aulani, a Disney Resort &

Spa, and the State of Hawai'i CreativeIndustries Division, the final selectionphotographs for The Children's Digital ImageRainbow Project. 138 photographs taken

by Hawai'i students will be compiled into a vibrant photo collage 55 feetlong. This collage will be prominently displayed at Aulani upon thescheduled opening of phase one of the resort on August 29, 2011.

Big Island Hawaii State Assessment testing for grades3,4,5,6,7,8,10 will be on November 29 from 9am on atthe King Kam hotel, Kailua‐Kona. Students should bring their laptops.

Kauai Hawaii State Assessment testing will be the week of December 6 at the Princeville LearningCenter.Monday, December 6, Grades 3‐5 from 9am – 12pmTuesday, December 7, Grade 8 from 9am – 12pm, Grades 6 & 7 from 12:30pm to 4pmWednesday, December 8, Grade 10 from 9am – 12pmFriday, December 10, Make up testing
