32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time “May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Fa-ther, who has loved us and given us everlasting encour-agement and good hope through his grace, encourage your hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word.” 2 THESSALONIANS 2:16-17

There are two important lessons here. First, we are called to be generous with our encouragement and hope. As God shows us mercy, we must be merciful to others. Second, joy is contagious! The joy we receive from doing good works not only strengthens us, it encourages others as well.

Invitation of Grace Minute Meditations I can’t live this life without the help of God’s grace. Left to my own power, I will continue to fail. My sins humbles me. When I recognize this, I perceive an invitation for me to return to God, the eternal source of mercy. My failure reminds me of my need for God.

Christmas is just around the corner, signaling that it’s time to tune up your vocal chords….. Choir Practice will begin Monday,

November 14th at 7:15 PM. All are welcome to join. There will be No choir practice on December 5th.

SOME LIFE TIME GOALS Be a good steward

Strive for excellence Treat others as you want to be treated

Forgive one another Love one another

Choose your words carefully Earn all you can, give to God all you can

Distractions During Prayer…. Do you get frustrated because your mind wanders when you pray? Don’t get discouraged, prayer doesn’t have to be perfect. In fact, it’s the time when God guides us and shows us the ways in which we are to grow. When you feel yourself getting distracted, just refocus and keep going.

Beginning the weekend of Novem-ber 26th & 27th….The Giving Tree, a long standing tradition here at Our Lady of Sorrows, helps bring the joys of Christmas to those who may not be

able to celebrate due to financial struggles. To participate, please take an ornament from the tree in the back of the church. Please bring the wrapped gifts no later than the 8:00 AM Mass on Sunday, December 18th.

Be sure to attach the “tag” from the giving tree so it can be easily identified for sorting.

Help will be needed to sort, etc.

Volunteers will be needed to help with the delivery of the gifts, which will be delivered on December 21st.

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours O LORD, and this is your kingdom. We adore You as the One Who is over all things.
