AttheheartofJaipurisitsCityPalacewhichhousesanextensivecollectionofraremanuscripts,MughalandRajasthaniminiatures,Mughalcarpets,costumesandtextiles,armsandweapons,royalbuggies,chariotsandpalanquinsandaremarkablecarriage-theindiraviman-thatwasdrawnbyfourelephants.AtthecenterisChandraMahal,theseven-tieredmoonpalacewherethepresentMaharajastillresides.TheCityPalacecomplexalsocontainstheGovindDevjiTemple,dedicatedtoLordKrishna.
