AFP Diversity Scholarships Deadline Extended

The AFP Memphis Board is again offering Diversity Scholarships for AFP memberships. Our hope is that we can expand and encourage diversity in our chapter by enabling an individual or an organization that otherwise might not join AFP either because they do not have the funds to join or because they have not been exposed to all that AFP has to offer. For 2012, AFP Memphis will be awarding membership scholarships to two nonprofit professionals as well as two students from the The Nonprofit Studies/American Humanics Program at the University of Memphis. (These scholarships, in part, are being made available from and AFP Every Member Campaign Grant.) We are asking you as a member of AFP to reach out to potential candidates for this scholarship and encourage them to apply. Applications will now be accepted until December 1, 2011. The selection will be made by the AFP Memphis Board. Information will also be posted on the AFP Memphis website and other select locations. The application for this scholarship is at the end of the newsletter as well as on the AFP website. Please share it with a worthy organization and deserving student!

AFP MEMPHIS DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

AFP Memphis Board is awarding a scholarship each year for a diverse organization that is not a member of AFP. Our hope is that we can “seek and achieve a broad representation of experiences, perspectives, opinions and cultures” within our local AFP Chapter. The AFP membership will be awarded to one person from an organization that otherwise might not join AFP either because they do not have the funds to join or because they have not been exposed to all that AFP has to offer. The scholarship is also available to U of M Humanics students with a letter of recommendation from an advisor or professor. Deadline: December 1, 2011 Please email completed application to:
