We can’t solve every problem, but we pledge to try to reach an acceptable outcome. Step 1 Talk to your child’s teacher. November 4 th : All student council member will have their 1 st meet- ing and will be officially sworn in by Mrs. Zilbar. November 9th: Student Council will be starting the 1 st canned food drive of the year to help support the less fortunate this upcoming holiday season. November 18 th : The Great American Teach In. This will give stu- dents the opportunity to experience a variety of different profes- sions. November 19 th : First Movie Night of the year. Look for Flyers first week in November. All Movie Nights will be hosted by Student Council Continuing Mr. Hanford’s After School Program Camp Cristina Selection(for after school program/student council members only) will take place after report card reviews. Peer Mediation training will begin the first week of November Students Mentor Program selection will begin after first marking period.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR:

For the month of November:

4th: McDonald’s Night: proceeds go to 1st grade this month!

6th: First Annual Bailey Yard Sale: We have a limited number of spaces available for

$10 each. You keep all your profits. We are currently taking donations of your

unwanted treasures.

9th: The second Bailey PTA meeting and performance by the 3rd grade. The festivities

begin at 6:30.

10th: Hat Day — Bring your $1 for Relay for Life and wear a cool hat!

18th: Conference Night: Pre-order dinner forms will be going home with your child soon.

Also this will be the time to pick-up your fundraiser items. Pick-up in the cafeteria.

19th: Mega-Party: For those students who qualified by selling enough fundraiser items.
