Italy is the home of pasta, pizza and ravioli. The Italian menu has a lot of vegetables and spices, but the most popular is pizza and of course lot of different types of pasta
as well as lasagna, tortellini (tortellini -stuffed with meat or cheese), risotto or minestrone (vegetable soup based on
vegetables: zucchini, carrots, beans). Most dishes should have the addition of Italian
cheeses like mozzarella, parmesan, gorgonzola and mascarpone - used as a
dessert or as an addition to desserts. Regarding the sweets the best known are
Italian ice cream and tiramisu (sponge cake soaked in espresso, mascarpone and sprinkled with superior chocolate).

Sardinia is an island called Island of Treasure - there are not only picturesque scenery, but also the fantastic flora and fauna:
fragrant flowers, underwater coral reefs, groves of cork. In small lagoons you can watch flamingos, cormorants. Sardinia is an
ideal place for an active holiday.
str. 2
In Sardinia each region or even city has its own culinary specialty. If we are looking for traditional Sardinian cuisine, you
should go to an agrotourism restaurant
(agriturismo). But then you have to have a big
appetite. Sardinians consume a lot of their
delicious goat and sheep cheese. The most
famous are the Pecorino Sardo, cacciocavallo,
mozzarella. For dessert you can enjoy local
Sardynian specialties . Most often these are the sorts of cakes. Local delicacy are
sebadas (or seadas) - cake with cheese. Of course seafood is very popular at the
seaside.

The sea, hills, mountains, rivers Tirsoand Temo (the only navigable river Sardinia) are the wonders of the region.
Typical Mediterranean weather and mild temperatures throughout the year this allows for growth of rich vegetation: citrus trees, shrubs wine, rice and artichokes. Sport lovers have a breathtaking choice. They can choose from a variety of sports like: sailing, canoeing, fishing in the lake Omodeo, rivers and the sea, tennis, horse riding in Arborea. There are plenty of Horse riding schools (Oristano is called the land of horses).
You can also go windusrfing along the coast and surfing at Capo Mannu, and play golf in new Is Arenas, located in the north of the peninsula of Sinis. It is the one of the most attractive places to play golf.
Connoisseurs will find fine dining. For each of the dishes you will get freshly baked bread and local wine.People grow the highest quality grapes used for the production of Vernaccia wines, Malvasia, Mandrolisai and Marmilla. In addition to natural resources the province Oristano offers many opportunities to meet history and culture:Stone Age settlements (Nuragic) is a significant testimony of prehistoric settlements,Trajan's Forum, Cornus, castles in Bosa and Laconi, the city Tharros from the eight century BC and others make valuable archaeological heritage.
We are looking forward for detailed relations and impressions from stay in Oristano, where a group of students and teachers will be

It is strange that Polish name for Italy is Włochy. Time to take a closer look of the puzzle. The old Polish languageused the word Italia, but later the name Włochy was popularized. Where does the form Włochy come from? Probably, it started with
Celtic and Roman tribes, which the Germans called "Walha". In Slavic languages the form "Wołch" became popular .The word was used to call all the Roman people. Then there was a transformation into the form ” Włoch”. Poles reduced the meaning of the word to the inhabitants of the Apennine peninsula. Although, Italians wanted to change it but the attempt failed. In the modern Polish language is used the form Włochy (Włosi, włoski), while Italy is used as the name of the ancient country in the Apennine Peninsula.
Let us add that not only Poles use strange form. Hungary also decided to make a "step aside" and called Italia ...
Olaszország. Originally, doesn’t it?
