Once best known for his tenure in the rap unit House of Pain,

Everlast successfully reinvented himself in 1998 with the best-

flavored effort in the genre-crossing mold of Beck. Production

for the "unplugged" album began May 2012 and ended June 2013,

with a release currently planned for August of the same year. The

record contains 12 songs from Everlast's back

catalogue and "maybe a surprise or two", recorded only with an

acoustic steel-string guitar - and possibly other acoustic

instruments as well - in the studio (much like the bonus tracks on

the last studio album, later released as the compilation "More

Songs of the Ungrateful Living"). All new 12 track acoustic album by

The album will serve as the follow up to driftwood and include the

current single and live favourite “Little Too Late.” The band

recorded the album at Mission Bells Studio, the San Francisco

studio which Bluhm’s husband and bandmate, Tim – known for hiswork in The Mother Hips – opened in 2006, in partnership with

recent Black Crowes addition Jackie Greene and engineer Dave

Simon-Baker. The material for the new album is all new, written

since the release of Driftwood, and Bluhm explained that the four
