Proposed 2004-2005 Priorities1. Implementation of Homeland Security Initiatives, including
the NRP (and the Annexes), NIMS, HSPDs– RRT input for NRT review of the NRP– Implementation of NIMS – Implementation of HSPD-5, HSPD-8 (Preparedness model,
tech assistance, Training and Exercise coordination)– NRS role in HSPD-9– Development of and NRS role in incident-specific annexes
(hazardous materials, radiological, biological)– Law enforcement-coordination with response and recovery
(see below)– NIMS Institute– ICS/UC Implementation– Funding issues– NCP/RCP/ACP revisions for conformance with the NRP
Proposed 2004-2005 Priorities
2. NRT/RRT structure and roles- NRT/RRT membership (e.g., DOD, DOJ, DHS)- NRT Committee structure-consider other
committees e.g., Homeland Security Committee- Potential Consolidation of groups with similar roles
(e.g., RISC/RRT/LEPCs)- State representation at RRT meetings
- Travel costs
- Appropriate representation (i.e., multiple State agencies with relevant interests/roles)
- National Response Center review

3. Information Management—align with DHS efforts
– Managing and dissemination of information, including resolution of data differences
– Data access and sharing (e.g., information gathered law enforcement)
– System for data and information management

Annex– Continue to clarify OSHA’s role in
response– Continue to improve worker health
