I am a highly motivated Interdisciplinary Studies student with a concentration in Business Communications, a minor in Disability Studies, and a Diversity Certificate. I am adaptive,

resourceful and effective with proven aspects of planning events and public speaking. I am successful in creating and maintaining personal relationships with people as well as negotiating conflicts between officers. I am often in leadership roles and I bring my adaptive personality to

each one. My oral and written communication skills are excellent and I am able to get ideas/suggestions across clearly and effectively.

Education: University of Texas at Arlington, Fall 2012-Fall 2016, Magna Cum Laude. Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Business Communications, a minor in Disability Studies, and a Diversity Certificate (3.550 overall GPA, 3.931 GPA in Interdisciplinary Studies, 4.0 GPA in Disability Studies). The UT Student Entrepreneurship Fellowship is a competitive fellowship for UT System students who have a business idea that they would like to hone through evidence-based entrepreneurship.

Developed business idea through interviews conducted with potential customers and stakeholders.

Advanced public speaking skills by presenting business idea and weekly findings to a panel of experts every week for the duration of the program.

Project 1- 3D food printing with people who wanted to improve their health, with a concentration in patients with digestive issues, those who had feeding disorders, and patients with dysphagia. The theory behind this project was to help those who would either have to be tube fed, or who were limited in their food intake, get the most nutrition out of what they ate. We would do this by 3D printing aesthetically pleasing food, that would be safe for them to eat, and essentially melt in their mouth

Project 2- affordable cooperative micro-housing complexes, specifically here in Austin. We focused on UT students who were minorities, didn’t live on campus, had to work around the clock just to afford their house, and their schoolwork suffered from this.

I transcribed oral histories for the Texas Disability History Collection that is in the archives in Special Collections at the UTA library.

This took a lot of detailed work and had to follow a very strict format of oral history guidelines provided by UTA and Baylor University.
