    Welcome from theOrganising Committee

    Dear Delegates,

    Welcome to AIESEC New South Wales State Conference 2012. Its fantastic to have over 120 delegates attending as this years State Conference is going to be the best yet!Conferences are amazing opportunities to develop a strong understanding of what AIESECembodies It is also a great opportunity for you to build your network with AIESECers fromaround the region and beyond.

    This conference is all about you! It is about finding out what AIESEC means to you, whatimpact you can make, and the tools you need to make positive impact in the globalcommunity. AIESEC is an organisation that can, and will provide you with some amazingopportunities, but its up to you which opportunities you will pursue. State Conference willnot only show you where you can go, but empower you with the skills and knowledge youneed to get there.

    AIESEC New South Wales has a strong and proud history. We have some of the strongestLCs in the country and we also have LCs with great potential. We are a region bonded by

    the potential we see in AIESEC New South Wales.Your LCs chose you to be part of AIESEC because of the potential they saw in you and thisis where it all begins. Because reaching the regions full potential begins with helping youreach your full potential.

    Important Information

    Transport

    Buses will depart from Darling Drive behind the UTS Haymarket Campus. Please see themap below to find your way there. Darling Drive is a short 5-minute walk from CentralStation. Please ensure that you arrive at 7:00am sharp to not miss the bus.

    This coach will bring us from the conference site back to UTS Haymarket Campus on

    Sunday afternoon estimated time of arrival to UTS campus is 6:30pm.If you have any questions regarding transportation and logistics, or you will be arriving lateto conference or leaving early, please contact Tina Tran (043 589 8597) beforehand.

    Late Arrivals If you have paid to attend the conference but cannot arrive on time, please contact the OC([email protected] ) to let us know if you have not already done so. We willassist you with transport to the conference site to the best of our ability.

    Personal Safety and Liability Please remember to look after yourself and others at the conference site. We will be in thebush area so make sure you are always wearing shoes. Alcohol will be served at parties, soplease drink responsibly. The conference team will be following the Responsible Service of

    Alcohol (RSA) guidelines.

    Delegates will be held personally liable for any damage done to the conference site.Please respect the site, look after it, and clean after yourselves.

    Delegate Fee The delegate fee is to be paid to your LC by Wednesday 3 rd of April 2012. This includesaccommodation, all meals at the conference site, transportation to and from the conferencesite and alcohol at parties.

    Meals All meals are included in the delegate fee. However, please ensure that you bring snacks for when you have the munchies!

    Laptops and USBs Acting sustainably is one of AIESECs six core values. In order to run a sustainableconference, we would like to minimise our printing cost and carbon footprint. We strongly

    urge you to bring your laptop and USB to the conference as you will need them for certainsessions. The conference site is very secure and the Faci team will ensure theft does notoccur during our stay there.

    Leaving the Conference SitePlease note that State Conference is a closed event so you may not come and go withoutprior consent and notice to a member of the Faci team. This helps to ensure that everyoneis focused and integrated amongst the delegation.

    Rules and Regulations

    Alcohol Regulations

    Alcohol will be provided during parties. Please note the following instructions with regards toalcohol consumption at conference. Failure to comply with these rules and/or other instructions from the OC on-site may warrant your removal from further participation in theconference.

    No drinking outside of party times

    All alcohol brought by delegates for drinking circles are to be handed to the OC for keepinguntil requested for

    The OC has to be informed of all drinking circles (time and location)

    Drinking circle locations have to be discussed with the OCP

    Alcohol is to be consumed only in the dining room and the wood-fire area

    Underage delegates are not allowed to consume alcohol

    No drinking within rooms/cabins

    Conference Regulations These are some rules with regards to the conference site, not limited to the following:

    Delegates may be liable to damages of the conference site. All delegates assigned to thesame cabin/room will be liable for any damages to the cabin/room.

    Please make sure that you look after the room/cabin and of your fellow roommates

    Smoking will be heavily restricted.

    Inappropriate behavior towards the conference organisers and conference site employeeswill not be tolerated.
