NUCLEAR APPRENTICESHIP AWARDSThe National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN) fully believes that Apprenticeships provide a key route for replenishing and building skills for the sector.

The Awards are to recognise and celebrate exceptional apprentices employed in the nuclear sector and the aim is to have Award Winners that are role models to inspire others to undertake apprenticeships. Nominations for the Awards are open to all nuclear employer companies.

Nominees who progress through the selection process will be invited to attend the high profile UK Nuclear Skills Awards Ceremony which will be held on 15th March 2018. The Skills Awards Ceremony is a collaborative event organised by NSAN and Cogent Skills, and will feature four award categories for nuclear employer companies to put forward their best apprentices.

The winners of these categories will be put forward for the selection of the coveted UK Nuclear Apprentice of Year Award.

Nominations Process

Apprenticeship Nomination Categories

For the 2018 Awards there are four categories open for Apprentices.

Business Service Apprentice of the Year Engineering Apprentice of the Year Manufacturing Apprentice of the Year (inc. Design)Scientific Apprentice of the Year (inc. Radiation protection and environmental protection)

As a nuclear employer you can nominate one apprentice for each of the above categories.

If you have multiple sites you can nominate one apprentice from each site for each of the above categories.

This is the Nomination form for the Business Service Apprentice of the Year Award. If you would like to put forward a nomination for any of the other categories you will need to download the appropriate form from the NSAN website or ask your Operations Manager.

Who should apply for this category? Business service covers a wide range of disciplines. The following list contains a range of apprenticeship frameworks that may help with the selection of the right candidate for this category.
