Situation:You use the Web at an Internet Café or from a friend’s computer

Stay Secure:Don’t save your password to the browser; those using the computer after you can take your information

Situation:You use the Web at a public computer or Internet Café

Stay Secure:These kind of terminals may have key logging spyware; avoid accessing bank accounts, and the NU Network

Stay VirusStay Virus--Free from Off Campus Free from Off Campus Situation:You installed Symantec/Norton Antivirus to your computer when you were on campus so it gets LiveUpdates from University servers.

Stay Secure:Switch your configuration to get LiveUpdates from an off-campus server

To Forward or Redirect?

• Forwarding your e-mail is more of a temporary e-mail solution

• If you’d prefer to have your Northwestern e-mail sent to an alternate e-mail address while away this summer, you should forward your mail

• If you plan to rarely use your Northwestern e-mail address, you should redirect your mail
