CAR PARKING - BEING TOLERANT AND RESPECTFUL
I would like to remind parents of the need to be careful, tolerant and respectful when driving and parking in the Community Centre, Coles and Woolworths car parks. Over the past month, the office has received several complaints of intolerant parents displaying disrespectful behaviour in and around these car park areas at the end of the school day.
In addition, the school’s drop off zone is exactly that, a drop off zone. Please do not park your car and walk your child to their classroom or play area. It upsets a lot of parents who do the right thing.
And last, the bus zone is exactly that, a bus zone. Do not vent your anger on anyone but yourself if you are booked by the City of Kingston Parking Officers.

Thank you to our outgoing Dolphin Research Institute ambassadors who have done an excellent job representing our school over the past 12 months. Natasha B, Lola N, Holly S and Christine W will hand over the reins to our newly selected ambassadors for the next 12 months. The task of selecting our new ambassadors was extremely difficult with the high quality of all the applicants who applied. Congratulations to Chelsea M, Katelyn G, Fletcher L, Miah F and Hunter C who were selected for 2013/2014. These students will be participating in their first activity on Wednesday, 11th December which will be an introductory activity comprising of a boat trip on Port Phillip Bay from Sorrento to hopefully swim with dolphins and seals. We look forward to hearing from them about their experiences over the next 12 months.
CLASS PLACEMENTS FOR 2014
Class teachers have been working hard this term to prepare class placements for 2014. On Tuesday, 10th December all students will be spending a large part of the day with their possible 2014 teacher and classmates as part of ‘Upday’. New teachers to the school in 2014 will be attending on this day. Confirmation of student placements for 2014 will be sent home with Student Reports on Monday 16th December. The school will endeavour to meet as many parent requests as possible, however, the final decision of placement remains with the school.
CANTEEN NEWS
SUPER TYPHOON HAIYAN COLLECTION
Thank you to all those families who donated money to help
with the aid and clean up due to the Typhoon that ripped
through the Philippines. As a school community we
managed to raise $483.70 and we will be depositing that
money into a nominated bank account with the CBA and they
will ensure the money is distributed to where it’s needed.
The Canteen will be closing for the remainder of
the year on Friday 13th December.
The Canteen will remain trading Monday,
Thursday and Friday next week.
