Assign/Offer a Position From the employee’s record, click Set Position under

the “Individual Information” section. The Make a Job Offer form opens as below

Under Position, select the position title of the open position that the employee will fill

The Start Date is set to today’s date by default. Select a new date from the menu if different.

Click Confirm to confirm that the information entered is correct. If it is not correct, click Edit to change it. Then, click Save to save.

The system enhances communication between national, county and facility level as information updated at the facility level is accessible at all other levels

iHRIS provides national, county and facility-related statistics on health workforce numbers and skills

Partners & other stakeholders can track numbers and skills of health workers for counties and facilities of their interest

Setting up your account/Accessing iHRISReceipt of letter from County Chief Office of Health to national Ministry of Health iHRIS contact persons detailing the proposed users details.

A new user will receive an email with a username and initial password for his/her account

Go to www.ihris.or.ke and login with your user name/password

Don’t share your password with anybody

You can change your username/password anytime by clicking “Change Password” from the main menu

Adding a new employee Manage People. Click Add Person. This form opens

Enter the person’s Surname, First Name and any Other Names in the appropriate fields

Select the person’s Nationality

Select the name of the person’s county of origin under Residence

Click Confirm, then click Save

Kenya is one of the countries supported by PEPFAR in combating HIV/AIDS, RMNCAH and malaria activities

HRH Kenya Mechanism is a USAID PEPFAR funded project that strengthens health workforce management to achieve improved health outcomes for the Kenyan people

One of the key areas of the project is to implement integrated Human Resource information system (iHRIS) and optimize data use for effective decision making at national and county level and establish linkages between iHRIS to regulatory and service delivery data systems

It is an open-source web application built by Intrahealth International to improve efficiency in health worker force management and development

It helps to collect, manage, analyze, interpret, and disseminate data about the health workers country-wide

Is based on international human resources management & development standards and practices

Can be accessed via the web (using an appropriate browser like Internet explorer, Firefox, Netscape Navigator, etc).

It is access via www.ihris.or.ke

iHRIS Manage is used to manage health workers while iHRIS Train is used for manage in-service training.

The system is hosted at the Ministry of Health and is accessible by all counties, training institutions and implementing partners.
