Now lets see how many ones are represented. Remember a rod represents tens. So we have 30 tens. To find the number of hundreds, we can group the rods into groups of ten (rectangles fade in grouping the rods). Ten groups of ten makes a hundred (reveal the 100 under each group). Now we can easily see that we have 1,2, 3 hundreds. Lets count by hundreds to see how many ones we have100, 200, 300. We have three hundred ones. From this number model we can see that 3 hundreds equal 30 tens and 3 hundreds equal 300 ones.
