Let’s set the record straight: You have every right to wear Nurses Say YES on 1 buttons. The wearing of buttons is protected activity under the National Labor Relations Act. The NLRA guarantees the right of employees to engage in protected concerted activity, and makes it an unfair labor practice for an employer to interfere with, restrain or coerce employees in the exercise of this right. Hospital management cannot insist that we stop wearing such items. This demand would clearly be an attempt to intimidate nurses from exercising their rights under federal labor law.
