Developmental Advising
A = Advisor S = Student
Stage one: 0 - 15 credits A >As
Stage two: 16 – 30 credits As > AS
Stage three: 31 – 45 credits AS > aS
Stage four: 46 – 60 credits aS > S
Stage five: 60+ credits S
DEVELOPMENTAL ADVISING CHECKLIST STAGE ONE 0-15 credits
In this Stage students are expected to accomplish the following:
1. College Orientation Activities (before classes start). 2. Complete Registration Process. Understand and Use
Processes and Resources. 3. Identify, Find, and Access Available QCC Services, as Needed.
4. Begin CAPS Plan and Complete by the End of STAGE ONE.
5. Apply to Degree Program, when ready. 6. Meet with Transfer Counselor if Planning to Transfer. 7. Meet with Advisor to Review Mid-Semester Progress Grades.
8. Meet with Advisor at Mid-Semester to Register for Next Semester and Review CAPS Plan.
