AICE MUSIC 1
o 9th grade: students may take Pre-AICE classes. The
purpose of Pre-AICE is to prepare students with the
knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in
future advanced studies courses.
o 10th, 11th and 12th grade: students can participate in
AICE classes even though they may not wish to earn
the diploma.

Candidates must obtain seven AICE credits
o Pass seven AICE courses and examinations within 25 months
o Take at least one exam from each of three subject groups & Global Perspectives:
o Group A: Mathematics & Science
o Group B: Languages
o Group C: Arts & Humanities
o Global Perspectives
AICE Diploma candidates:
o Earn Bright Futures Academic Scholar Awards (no test score threshold)
o Prepare for SAT or ACT exams
o Volunteer 100 hours of community service
o May accrue up to 45 college credits with passing scores
o All Florida Universities award college credit for AICE courses just
as they do for AP.
o Over 450 US universities accept AS and A Level courses including
all Ivy League and Ivy Plus universities.

o 440 Math/440 Critical Reading on the SAT, or
o 19 Reading, 17 English, 19 Math on the ACT

o March 4- Deadline for returning course request change-- SIGNED BY PARENT & STUDENT.
