The First (Scots) Hai Health Mission departs Friday, April 22. Please prayerfully consider the donaon of receiving blankets, "onesies," or a monetary contribuon to assist in the purchase these supplies, made out to First (Scots) Church with aenon to "Hai Mission”. Retirement Announcement With much excitement and anxiety, Greg and I have decided to retire. We will be relocating to the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains of Virginia! We did not expect the door of opportunity to open this quickly but God opened that door and we will walk through in faith. Dr. Harvard and I talked about my staying until the end of the year but in prayer and discernment with my family, we have decided that it must happen soon. I will leave my post on June 30, 2016. My twelve years on staff as your Director of Educational Ministries has brought many blessings to my life. This church will always be near and dear to my heart. YOU ARE THE CHURCH and you have been a wonderful church family to be part of. Togeth-er we have seen many changes and more are on the way - but with God in control - it will ALL be GOOD! - Mary Robinson

Thank You, David and Jean On behalf of the congregation, the Session wishes to

express deep appreciation to David Hoskinson and Jean Marterre for the wonderful work they have done organizing and managing God's Gift Shop over the past twelve years. When David and Jean joined First (Scots) in 2003, they brought with them the vision, knowledge, and skills to begin a program in which they had participated as members of the National Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC. They introduced us to God's Gift Shop one year later, and through their continued leadership, First (Scots) has not only gained a new perspective on what it means to celebrate Christ's birth, but has also ministered to hundreds, probably thousands, of God's children locally and abroad.

Now, after twelve years, David and Jean have decided to retire from God’s Gift Shop and will turn its leadership over to someone else. When you see them, thank them for their special contribution to the life of First (Scots). And if you feel called to help continue the work they have begun, please tell them or speak to one of our ministers.

Welcome to Surf Shack
