Once upon a time there was a little ladybird who

loved children. It loved them so much that it came

to see them play on the beach, draw their pretty

drawings at the mini club or sing and dance at the

mini discos. Until the day when, attracted by a group

of children who were making a beautiful sand castle,

it fell in the water and was caught up in a small wave.

A little girl saw that the ladybird was in danger and ran

to save it with her dip net. She dried it off gently with

her towel in order to warm it up. The little ladybug let

itself be pampered and cared for by the little girl and

soon regained its strength. It decided to stay forever

& ever in Sunêlia’s campgrounds and become the

favorite mascot of all the children there. If you want to

see it, it’s easy peasy : all you have to do is gather up

with other children in a small group and shout really

loudly: «SUNNYYYYYY! If you do that, it’ll come out

of its hiding place and give you all lots of kisses.

This story is one of the versions that explains how

SUNNY the little ladybug became Sunêlia’s mascot.
