Object Pronouns

Objective: identify object pronouns and substitute object pronouns for

nouns in sentences

• Complete the sentence below with as many different pronouns as you can.

• Frisky the pony gave a ride to __________.

• Subject pronouns can be used as the subject of sentences. The pronouns me, you, him, her, it, us, and them are called object pronouns. Object pronouns follow action verbs and words such as to, with, for, and at.

James helped Mr. Rosa. James helped him.

James showed a pony to Rachael and me.

Then games gave the pony a carrot.

Never us the object pronoun me, him, her, us, and them as subjects. You can use the pronouns you and it as either subject or object pronouns.
