AirStrip OB™ Technology
This innovative patient monitoring solution allows
obstetricians to remotely access vital patient
information such as fetal heart rate and maternal
contraction patterns directly from the labor and
delivery unit to a physician’s smart phone. The
technology is cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration and is compliant with federal patient
privacy regulations.
Infant Security Protection
Providing a safe and secure environment for mom
and baby is crucial. The infant protection system is
an electronic security system designed to enhance
the safety of infants in obstetrics. Should an infant be
carried toward an exit door, the protection system will
automatically set off an alarm, activate magnetic door
locks and hold selected elevators.
Fast-Pass® Visitor Identification System
The Fast-Pass System helps increase security by
tracking visitors who enter the hospital. Information
from the driver’s license of a visitor is immediately
downloaded into a database and the visitor’s picture is
then taken and printed on a visitor’s pass in seconds.

As your due date draws near, there are so many
questions that arise. Childbirth education is key to
understanding the process of labor, and will help
prepare you for your birth experience. Our Family
Education Program courses are offered at no charge.

FAMILY EDUCATION PROGRAM
The Family Education Program at Medical Center of Trinity is led by a registered nurse skilled in Maternal Child Nursing, with
certifications in Lactation counseling, car seat safety and patient education.
We offer a variety of courses and you can register now for classes that begin in several weeks. Childbirth preparation classes or
a tour should be completed within 36 weeks of pregnancy. It is important that you register early.

COURSE OFFERINGS
AHA Family & Friends Infant CPR Class
You could save the life of your child! Learn the skills of the
American Heart Association Course, “CPR for Family and
Friends.” This is a 90-minute course.
Breastfeeding Class
The Breastfeeding Course is given once per month by a
Registered Nurse Certified Lactation Counselor. An introductory
class detailing the health benefits of breastfeeding with a focus on
fundamentals and how to access support. This is a two hour class.
Newborn Care Class
This 90-minute class is taught by a Registered Nurse and
explores caring for your amazing newborn. Subjects include
feeding, bathing, infant behavior, signs of illness, car seat
safety, safe sleep, and immunization schedule.
Childbirth Preparation Class
Saturday Super Prep Childbirth Class is designed to
prepare you and your labor support partner for the birth
of your baby. This is a one day class from 9am-4pm. Topics
include: Pregnancy changes, stages of labor, vaginal birth,
surgical birth, comfort measures for birth, epidurals, pain
medications, and mother / baby care after delivery.
Tour of Obstetrics
Tours are offered with every OB class, as well as monthly.
You will visit the labor, delivery, recovery, post-partum rooms
(LDRP rooms) and learn about the Infant Safety and Security
Program.
