the verdict ef the circuit court in the case ef the state of Florida vs F A D Marlowe which was tried at the December term of that court in 1903 had been sustained by the state supreme court Thus Mr Marlowe who has been in the county jail since his convictionstarts serving a life sentence in the staLe prison today r Conductor Ramsauer Dead News reached here yesterday of the death of Mr Raymond Ramsauer- at Palatka Wednesday afternoon- He was in feeble health and had de ¬ tided to go west to see if he could f not improve but he was unable to un ¬ dertake the trip Mr Ramsauer had been in the railroad service since childhood and for a number of years r had been running between Jackson- ville ¬ and St Petersburg He was o one of the most popular conductors on the road and his death will be who is to be married next Wednesday nigut to Dr Dell of Gainesville- The guests were invited to a hand- kerchief ¬ shower and they also hud to come in a shower as it rained dur ¬ ing almost the entire afternoon but while it was greately regretted that the weather was so bad still all protested that the shower was most appropriate- The beautiful bridetobe was ra di + ntly lovely in a handsome violet silk gown elaborately trimmed with violet lace and chiffon and a great deal of hand work The hostesses were assisted by Mrs F L Watson Mrs A E Gerig and Mrs JE Oates of DeLand and in the hall punch was served by Mrs- C C Carroll and Mrs S A Rawls After the guests had all arrived they were invited into the den where hung a large wedding bell As Miss Liddon walked under the bell the clapper was was largely attended and was greatly enjoyed Miss Gamsby is a very fine teacher and each year her class is larger than the year before There were tYent four numbers on the program and each young MacKay Sara Davis Mary Gates and Lillian Anderson This group of beautiful children- was indeed a pretty picture and their parents and friends were very proud- of these young musicians A beautiful number was the Con- certo ¬ in G Minor played by Miss Gamsby and Miss Jessie Palmer on two pianos and the last piece the Hungarian Dance two pianos by Misses Lillian Anderson Bessie Mac Kay Sara Davis and Alta Pearson- was a very happy conclusion to a most excellent program Then came the most interesting featureat least to the children presentation of the medals In the junior class Miss Ethel Hay craft won the pretty little silver medal having made 236 points and the gold medal for winning- the greatest number of marks during- the year in the senior class was cap- tured ¬ by Miss Bessie MacKay she having made 23S points Miss Hope Robinson came second and Miss Una Taylor third in the ju- nior ¬ class and Miss Lillian Robinson second in the senior class Miss Robinson unfortunately having cut her hand was unable to perform Judge W S Bullock delivered the 4 medals and he did so in a most de ¬ lightful and humorous manner which added Ito the evenings entertain ¬ t ment b n t T BELLEVIEW i Special Correspondence of the Ocala Batmen The funeral services of Mrs Frances Maclndoe took place at the Metho- dist ¬ church Thursday Rev Sulli ¬ van officiating Mrs Maclndoe was next to the oldest resident of Belle view Mr Davis being a few years older She was in poor health for some time owing to her advanced years being a little over 83 years of age She came with the starting of Belleview by the Marion Improve ¬ ment Company and was accompanied by a son and daughter She built a I very pretty residence on Lillian Ter race where she has since resided having quite an orange grove before the freeze The son died a young man of 24 about eighteen years ago and the daughter Mrs Ramsdell died about sixteen years ago leaving- a daughter a very popular young I lady and organist of the Methodist I church Mrs Maclndoe also leaves two other daughters one in Vermont- her old home and the other a mem- ber of the Salvation Army and is now in Texas Her husband died thirtyfive years ago She has been- a a member of the Methodist church since early girlhood- The I new postmaster Charles A I Tremere took charge this morning- The office is to be moved up to the Trading Companys store Miss Long
