Thank you for all your support and hard work with the children :) October 11, 2015 Mrs. Rosie & Ms. Zain Literacy Inquiry: - We are reading some great books: “Brown bear, Brown bear, what do you see,” “ Does a Kangaroo have a Mother, too?,” and ”1, 2, 3 to the Zoo”. - We are identifying the roles of the author and illustrator in written text. - Activities include: exploring with the formation of the letters, name games, and many more craft activities. Unit of Inquiry: -Learner Profile: Thinker, Communicator “How We Organize Ourselves” Central Idea: Systems help us live and learn together. -Activities include : We will be reading books about being Thinkers and Communicators and continue reviewing Kelso’s nine choices for solving small problems/big problem. Show and Tell: This week we are skipping this activity since we have a short week. Thank you for your won- derful support with the letter L. They were amazing. :) STAR OF THE WEEK Emad Ateeqi This week we will be reviewing Systems. Library is Day 6 Our first Library day will October 12th Math Inquiry: -We will be introducing different 2D shapes (squares, circles, triangle.) -We will continue practicing independent counting and one to one correspondence (1-10 or beyond). -Activities include: creating 2D shapes, sorting shapes with different manipulatives and many more fun activities.
