Fall Festival and Costume Parade

Central Woodlands will celebrate our Fall Festival and Costume Parade on Monday, October 31 from 11:10 to 11:55 a.m. Students and staff members are invited to dress in costumes for our Costume celebration and school-wide parade. Kids should plan to bring costumes in bags marked with their names and plan to change into costumes prior to the celebration. To minimize interruptions to the class schedule, students should not wear makeup to school. Families are welcome to observe the parade which will take place from 11:10-11:30 a.m. Parents are requested to use the “viewing area” in the center of the bus parking lot, inside the orange cones. We request families not to park in the bus parking lot. Weather permitting, the parade will extend from Huron Hall (D Hall) exit down the sidewalk to the playground and return to the bus parking lot and loop back indoors. Families are welcome to join in and/or take photos along the way. In the event of inclement weather, parents are welcome to observe the parade as it loops through the gym, cafeteria, and mall hall. For safety reasons, we will ask all parent/visitors to stop in the Nautilus entry to sign and wear a name tag. We will proceed to classrooms at 11:30 a.m. to have cider and donuts compliments of our PTO and then dismiss to buses at 11:55 a.m. Students should plan to wear their costumes home on the bus as time to change will be limited. As always, we encourage students to focus on the fun side of dressing up in costumes! Costumes that are violent or gory-appearing or which depict questionable characters are not allowed. For safety, no play weapons are permitted. Please help your child create or choose a costume that will keep the atmosphere positive. REMEMBER THAT MONDAY, OCTOBER 31 IS A ½ DAY

OF SCHOOL. SCHOOL IS DISMISSED AT 11:55 A.M.
