Minister Merlino Visit On Monday 5 th October, the Deputy Premier and Minister for Educaon James Merlino, accompanied by our devoted local member, Judith Graley visited Kambrya College. The purpose of the visit was to inspect the standard of the many relocatable buildings and discuss a proposal to build a new block of general purpose classrooms valued at $3.5 to $4 million. This is a most excing prospect for our school. The minister appeared to me very paral to the concept and Judith Graley has offered her full support. It was also evident that Minister Merlino was very impressed by the standard of academic success achieved by our students, as can be seen in his Facebook entry following the visit show here. Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to term 4! It was great to see our staff

and students return from their well-earned break

in such an upbeat and business-like manner. No doubt, the next few weeks will be intense:

Year 12 students have just 13 days of classes before preparing full time for final exams which commence

on 28th October.

Years 7 to 11 have 4 full weeks of term before their final exams which take place between 29th October

and 6th November.

The Commencement Program, bringing in the 2016 school year begins on Tuesday 10th November. It is

essential for all students to be present at school for the entire 4 week program.

On 7th December the End of Year Activities program begins for all students currently in years 7 to 9.

I certainly wish all students every success as they complete the 2015 school year and make an all-important start

to the next school year.

Thank You

On a personal note, I would like to express my gratitude to all parents, students and staff who have passed on

their support, sympathy and heart felt concern to my family on the passing of our eldest daughter Kathryn. Roz,

my daughter Maddy and I are most grateful to all and have been

greatly touched by the love and support. I can tell you that

returning to full time work at Kambrya College last week has been

very, very good! Special thanks to Nalini Naidu who held the reigns

as Acting Principal and to Joanne Wastle and Keith Perry who

ensured that our college continued to thrive in my absence.

Minister Merlino Visit

On Monday 5th October, the Deputy Premier and Minister for

Education James Merlino, accompanied by our devoted local

member, Judith Graley visited Kambrya College. The purpose of the

visit was to inspect the standard of the many relocatable buildings

and discuss a proposal to build a new block of general purpose

classrooms valued at $3.5 to $4 million. This is a most exciting

prospect for our school. The minister appeared to me very partial

to the concept and Judith Graley has offered her full support. It was

also evident that Minister Merlino was very impressed by the

standard of academic success achieved by our students, as can be

seen in his Facebook entry following the visit show here.
