**************NATIONAL MARCH FOR LIFE********************

St. Pius X Church Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a bus on Friday, January 19, 2018 to go to Washington DC for the National March for Life. This is the biggest Pro Life March in the country. We are opening this up to anyone who wants to go and seats will be $20 for adults and $10 for youth under 18. (Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). This is to be paid in advance and is non-refundable. The bus leaves St. Pius X Catholic Church around 7:30 am. We generally stop at a fast food place on the way down for breakfast sometime around mid morning. The Pro Life Rally consists of gathering at the Mall area in Washington DC. The schedule for the Rally is as follows: 11:45 am Musical Opening; 12:00 pm Rally Program; 1 pm March up Constitution Avenue to Supreme Court and Capitol Build-ing; 3 pm Silent No More testimonies outside U.S. Supreme Court. The bus will leave Washington DC around 4 to 5 pm and we will stop someplace on the way home to eat. You have the option to bring food/snacks/ beverages. We gen-erally get back 8 to 9 pm. To purchase seats for this event, you can contact Tim Minori at (570)259-8478 or email Tim at [email protected] and give him your contact information.

Note: It is our desire that no one be prevented from attending the March for Life because they do not have the money for the seat. There are people who are willing to pay for anyone who needs assistance. If you want to attend but need help with paying for the seat(s), please let the parish office know and it will be taken care of discretely.

ROSARY RALLY Let's celebrate together as a community our beloved Blessed Mother. We all know that the month of October is a good time to commit to praying the Rosary every day. The Rosary will bring great peace and holiness to your life. It is a powerful weapon for conversion. The Rosary is the best method of honoring our Celeste Mother. It protects the Church from false teaching and keeps her safe from the attacks from the enemy. You are all welcome to come and meet in front of our beautiful garden of the Blessed Mother at the Church, on Saturday, October 28th at 10 am to recite the rosary. Please don' t miss this amazing way of praying together . May the Blessed Mother bless you and all of your loved ones.

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY World Mission Sunday, organized by the Society of the Propagation of the Faith, is a day set aside for Catholics worldwide to recommit themselves to the Church’s missionary activity through prayer and sacrifice. During this year’s 90th anniversary, World Mission Sunday celebration relates its theme to the Year of Mercy, “Mercy Changes the World.” Pope Francis notes, “The mercy of God is His loving concern for each one of us…. As the Father loves, so do His chil-dren. Just as He is merciful, so we are called to be merciful to each other.” A second collection will be taken up at all Masses the weekend of October 21-22, 2017. Please show your generos-ity as much as possible during this collection because it provides assistance to the young diocese in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Pacific Islands.
