    Market ActivityAnother good month with total Uniply 13% above budget on sales and 17% above budget on volume.

    Competitor ActivityE.L.B. E.L.B. have now employed Charlie Woods (ex-Masonite) and they have a warehouse in

    Durban which we believe is well stocked.

    Zimbabwe Border Timbers do not appear to have any problems delivering product.Malai R.A.I. Ply appeared to have a transport problem at the beginning of the month but this seems

    to have been rectified as a number of trucks have been received into Gauteng during the lastweek of October.

    Market Developments Brick Pallets Orders appear to be tailing off but this might just be due to the time of year.

    Customer ComplaintsQuite a few complaints were received this month, especially from Gauteng, and details have been passedon to Ken Herritt.
