PTSO Membership
Thank you to all those parents, teachers, and staff who have joined the PTSO so far. Your
membership dollars support our opera�ng budget for such things as staff apprecia%on,
care & concern, outreach, gradua%on, scholarships, & our opera%onal expenses. THANK
YOU for being a part of this.
To date, Membership has brought in nearly $2,590! (Our goal: $4,500)
We would love to have 100% par�cipa�on by our parents and staff. That would say a lot
about Weddington High School’s community of support. If you haven’t done so, you may

Invest in Excellence
Thanks to your generous dona�ons, our Invest in Excellence academic fundraiser has
raised $10,976 so far. (Our goal: $13,000.) Thank you so much!!
If you have not had the chance to make a dona�on yet, we have tried to make it as easy as

PayPal or you can print the a=ached form and send in your dona�on to the school. Any
amount is appreciated.

Staff Apprecia%on
We now have Staff Apprecia�on chairpersons! Thank you to Pa7y Wolverton, Mary Anna Efird, and Jennifer Wya7 for stepping up to make sure that
our WHS staff are well provided for by organizing our 30 parent volunteers. What a testament to our great staff that we have so many parents taking
the �me to prepare/purchase food for Friday treat days! (The PTSO provides treats every 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. School clubs are in
charge of the 1st & 3rd Fridays.)
PLEASE NOTE: The 2nd Friday in October is a teacher work day, so there will be NO Staff Treat Day. The next treat day will be Friday, October 24th. If
you’d like to volunteer to be a part of this group, please email our volunteer coordinator Cathy Blowers at [email protected].

Publix Partners “Publix Partners” is a money-earning
program through Publix grocery
stores. Publix Partners cards are available to parents,
teachers, administrators, and anyone interested in
suppor%ng our school. Par%cipants present the card
to the cashier at the beginning of the sale (cannot be
accepted aOer order is totaled), and WHS is credited
with that amount. At the end of each quarter, Publix
will give WHS $250 for every $37,500 spent.
