Office Notes from the Administration: REC Community and Families, We have had a great start of our 2016-2017 school year. Our students in 2 - 5th grade have completed their MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) tests in both Reading and Math. Our K5 and 1st graders have completed their AIMS Web testing to find their read- ing benchmark scores. School-wide goals, class goals, and individual student goals have been set. In order to meet these goals our teachers are planning engag- ing and effective lessons. Our students take common assessment that are analyzed regularly to ensure our students are making the gains in both reading and math. We encourage our parents to work with their children at home. It is important for students to read each night, play First in Math, and complete their homework. We encourage our community to volun- teer to help provide the best education for our stu- dents. We appreciate your help and guidance for our students as we look forward to a successful school year. Administrative Team REC COMMUNITY COMm En TS More Communication @cashion_comets Robert E. Office Notes from the Administration:

REC Community and Families,

We have had a great start of our 2016-2017 school year. Our students in 2 - 5th grade have completed their MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) tests in both Reading and Math. Our K5 and 1st graders have completed their AIMS Web testing to find their read-ing benchmark scores. School-wide goals, class goals, and individual student goals have been set. In order to meet these goals our teachers are planning engag-ing and effective lessons. Our students take common assessment that are analyzed regularly to ensure our students are making the gains in both reading and math. We encourage our parents to work with their children at home. It is important for students to read each night, play First in Math, and complete their homework. We encourage our community to volun-teer to help provide the best education for our stu-dents. We appreciate your help and guidance for our students as we look forward to a successful school year.

In support of our district-wide

Graduation Plus initiative to en-sure all students are college and

career ready, students are learn-ing about various careers and ed-

ucation requirements during school counseling lessons. We

will also feature a special news segment on REC’s news show that focuses on connecting school to

work. Students are learning the importance of setting future goals

and the different opportunities that are available to them.

Tidbits from PTA:

Our PTA membership goal is 150 members. We

are currently at 125 memberships. Join our PTA

for only $5 to help us meet our goal.

We had a successful Fall Fundraiser. We sold

more than $9,000 dollars worth of merchandise.

Our PTA will be receiving a percentage of that

amount to help support our school.

We are collecting Box Tops for Education. Send

in your Box Tops to help our PTA raise money for

an Electric Sign out front of our school.

Our PTA Fall Festival is on Friday, October 21

from 5:30 - 7:30. We will have games, inflatables,

dunk tank, food vendors, and the haunted

house. Join us for a fun night at REC.

Our Spirit Wear sale was very successful. We

will be selling again in the spring. Purchase your

REC spirit wear to show your school spirit.

Bingo Night is in November. Be on the look out
