Benedict College will host its Fall open house program on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

The Giving Tree Committee will be receiving names of children who may need assistance for Christmas. The application dates are Tuesday, October 27 and Thursday, November 5 from 10:00 to 1:00 pm at the administrative office. The “Giving Tree” is a mission project of the Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church that recognizes the needs of children during the Holiday Season. The NAACP will celebrate the 67th Birthday of Mr. Truman Humbert Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church. This fund raising event will benefit 29 local high school students to compete in 2016 National NAACP Convention. The NAACP 67th Birthday of Mr. Truman Humbert Celebration
SOS Community Chorale’s Annual Christmas Concert under the direction of Mr. Calvin Campbell and Mr. Phillip Martin will be Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church. Proceeds will benefit the Reedy River Trustee Spouses Dinky O’Neal Scholarship Fund and the Southernside Community Center.

Thank youWe would like to thank the volunteers that traveled with us to Jamestowne Pointe Apartment homes and had bible study with over 60 youth it was a great opportunity to study the word, worship and engage the community. The lesson was taught by Minister Calvin Norris it was from Mark 5:18:20 Titled: Tell your Jesus story. The youth truly enjoyed the lesson and we're excited that Youth Bible Study was back for the year. A special thanks to Ms. Denise Nelson, Deaconess Sally Cade and Deacon Lee Montgomery.
