Money for the LADIES’ RETREAT
NOVEMBER 7 & 8 @ QUAIL CREEK RESORT
will be collected Sunday, October 19 —
Sunday, October 26 in the Commons Area.
See Sue Sims.
Special L2L Class Sunday
This Sunday morning, October 12, we will have a special Lads to Leaders/
Leaderettes Class. This will be during the morning Bible Class time in the
Fellowship area. The class will be only for this Sunday morning. All those
involved with L2L, Junior High and up, are asked to attend. Also included
are adults and parents who will be helping with the 2015 National Convention
preparation or who are planning to attend the Convention.
Wet/Dry
We have “Vote No” and “U-Prayed?” signs in the fellowship area.
Go by and pick up one for your yard. Also, if you would like to
contribute to Families for a Safe Hartselle to help fight liquor
coming into Hartselle you may do so. Make your checks out to
“Families for a Safe Hartselle” and give them to me or the staff.
It costs a great deal of money to make signs and mail pamphlets
into every home. Don Wear continues to need folks to wave
each Monday and Friday morning.
Back Home
I enjoyed the meeting with the Valdosta church in Tuscumbia last week. This
was my first time to be at Valdosta. At the time of this writing there has been
one baptism. This Sunday I will be back in the pulpit! Sunday night we will
continue with our series on Genesis. Our text will be Genesis 12:10 – 13:4.
Bring your Bibles and be ready to dig into the word.

THANK YOU NOTES
Dear Church Family, It is difficult to find words to express how thankful we are for your expression of love to our family at the passing of our beloved, Dee. We are grateful for the food, cards, flowers, donations to the Romanian Mission Work, and your prayers. Dee was a man who truly walked by faith. He loved this church and cared deeply for each soul. May his life of faith and leadership be an example to each and every member of this congregation. In Christian Love, Betty, Mike, Denise, Cooper & Macy
Dear Church Family, Thank you so much for the cards, phone calls, and food delivered to us following my mother’s passing. Thank you especially for all of the prayers offered on her behalf. So many of them were answered and for that we are truly grateful. Please continue to pray for us and my dad as we adjust to life without her. We love and appreciate you all so much. In Christian Love, Cindy Forsythe and Family
