All equipment will be provided except where indicated. Please ensure appropriate footwear and clothing is worn. Please ensure that for outside activities youngsters bring sun protection cream, a cap or sun hat and waterproof clothing at all times. The Department for Education, Sport & Culture reserve the right to cancel or amalgamate courses/sessions should there be insufficient demand. In order to ensure safety and enjoyment of all youngsters The Department for Education, Sport & Culture reserves the right to refuse applications or withdraw youngsters from activities. Parents/guardians will be informed should this situation arise by the Outdoor Education Manager or a member of the Sports Development Department. Please note that requests for refunds must be made in writing to the Sports Manager at least one week before the course start date. Due to administrative costs we are unable to process refunds for fees under £7. A receipt will be issued to confirm that you have been allocated a place on the requested course. “The organisers will not be responsible for any expense, consequential loss, legal liability, loss or damage to any property or person arising from any matters, acts and /or defaults outside its control.” Please note that Education Sport and Culture accepts no liability in relation to any loss/damage arising out of any service/course included in this Programme provided by a third party. Activity mornings includes: trampolining, wall climbing, table tennis, team games, badminton and swimming. All sessions are fully supervised. Please ensure that children bring: healthy snacks, plenty to drink, swimming costume, 20p coin for the locker, towel and thick socks for the trampoline. Children will participate in at least 45 minutes of water-based activity each day and so it is essential that they are competent swimmers. Children attending should meet in the swimming pool foyer (top car park).

Craig’s session will take place at the Jersey Table Tennis Centre which is located at F.B. Fields and the Table Tennis sessions at Langford will take place in the sports hall (please use the swimming pool entrance). All equipment is provided. Please ensure children wear appropriate sports clothing and bring plenty to drink. All equipment is provided. Please ensure that children wear shorts/tracksuit, t-shirt and trainers. It is essential that you bring juice or water and a small towel. The squash courts can be found adjacent to the active gym. Fencing course at Oakfield Sports Centre For 9 - 14 year olds. £35.50 for the course 1653 Monday 24 October – Friday 28 October 9am – 11am Learn how to fence with the Jersey Fencing Club coach, Gianpaolo Marini. Please bring plenty to drink and wear tracksuit and trainers.

Scuba Tasters at Langford Swimming Pool £15.25 per session For year 8 year olds and over 1658 Tuesday 20 December 1pm – 4pm 1659 Wednesday 21 December 1pm – 4pm 1660 Thursday 22 December 1pm – 4pm For the Scuba Taster sessions children will require a swimming costume, towel, 20p for the locker, healthy snacks or lunch, plenty to drink, a t-shirt or rash vest to wear in the pool. Children may bring wetsuits if they have them. Children should be competent swimmers able to swim 50m in deep water (2 lengths of Les Quennevais, Langford or the Aquasplash). There are strict requirements for any person using scuba equipment. A medical statement will be sent out with course confirmation and must be completed a returned to sports development 2 weeks prior to attending the session. If you have any ‘yes’ answers your child will not be able to dive unless you obtain clearance from your doctor. Powerboat level 1 courses For 14 – 17 year olds. £78.40 per course 1661 Monday 24 October 9am – 5pm 1662 Tuesday 25 October 9am – 5pm Powerboat level 2 courses For 16 year olds and over. £150.00 per course 1663 Thursday 27 October & Friday 28 October 9am – 5pm

We are able to run powerboat courses using our fleet of Rigid inflatable boats (RIB’s) which are located at La Collette Marina. All the courses listed below are Royal Yachting Association certified courses. We have Powerboat level 1 courses for those aged 14 and over. This basic entry course takes place over 1 day, and concentrates on basic boat handling and safety. Powerboat level 2 courses cover skills such as boat handling, anchoring, leaving and coming alongside and man overboard. The certification demonstrates competence. You will be required to provide 1 passport photograph and proof of nationality if attending the RYA powerboat level 2 course. What to bring: Warm comfortable clothing, a waterproof jacket, and bottoms if you have them, and old trainers or wellies. We provide 150N lifejackets, or you may bring your own. We usually break for 1 hour for lunch, so you will need to bring a packed lunch or make other arrangements. (we will be at La Collette for the lunch break) Where to meet: Instructors will meet students at La Collette Marina for all powerboat courses. Junior spinning session at Fort Regent spinning studio For 12 year olds and over. £3.55 per session 1664 Friday 28 October 2pm – 2.30pm Please wear trainers and tracksuit and bring a water bottle and a small towel.
