Haemoglobin Count Check Campaign under 'Arogyaa'

NLCIL in co-ordination with the Neyveli Ladies Club, the

Pondicherry Institute of Medical Science (PIMS), Pondicherry

and with the support of Neyveli People Service Group (PSG)

organised Medical Camps under its Corporate Social

Responsibility (CSR) scheme 'Arogyaa' on 23.10.2017 and

09.10.2017 for the students of Jawahar Science College, Neyveli

and Perperiyankuppam Government Girls' Higher Secondary

School (Class X), exclusively for checking the Haemoglobin count

in their blood.

Smt. Yogamaya Acharya, President, Neyveli Ladies Club

inaugurated the camp at the College premises and released a

Booklet titled 'Role of Food for Healthy Body', in the presence of

the patrons Smt. Sudeshna Das, Smt. Devahi Thangapandian

and Smt. Shanthi Vikraman. The students were given a copy of

the booklet each. The blood samples of around 300 students were

tested for count of Haemoglobin and provided with tonic to

maintain the Haemoglobin in their blood.

NLCIL under its CSR has been organizing many welfare

measures for the people of peripheral villages. Main focus has

always been the welfare of children, women and the senior

citizens. This year the Company had organized 12 Medical

State Level Workshop & Hands-on training in First Aid for Mine Employees

Shri R. Vikraman, Director(HR), NLCIL inaugurated the three

day State Level Workshop & Hands-on training in First Aid for

Mine Employees from 20.10.2017 to 22.10.2017 at NLCIL

Hospital on 20.10.2017 in the presence of Dr. P. Ravi, CGS

(Medical), NLCIL Hospital. The Industrial Medical Centre, of

NLCIL Hospital and the Tamil Nadu Mine Safety Association

(TNMSA) organised the three day workshop in association

with the Neyveli Centre of the St. John Ambulance.
